Our baby boy is 28 turning 29 weeks old.

Detailed child info: Weight: 2.6–2.8 Ibs Length: 14.9–16.1 in At this stage: The brain is developed so well that it begins to control the constant body temperature.

The child in the 29th week of pregnancy passes his time mostly sleeping. No news, after birth it is the same. It has been proven that most of the sleeping inside your womb (70–80%) is in the REM phase, i.e. the phase of rapid eye movement. What does this mean? Well, the baby is dreaming. What could he be dreaming about inside there? The little one is digesting the noises heard during the day, i.e. mum’s heartbeat, stomach rumbling when she is hungry, her voice, voices from outside. He may be also dreaming about everyday playing with the umbilical cord, who knows? The nervous system is already fully developed, and this means that the child responds to stimuli in the same way as an adult, i.e. in a flash.

Our baby boy is 27 going on 28 weeks =)

Detailed child info: Weight: approx. 2.4 Ibs Length: 13.4–14.9 in At this stage: The child can see the light and hear sounds coming from the external world.

The child is still growing. In addition to being longer and longer, he also starts to accumulate typical baby fat. Air sacs begin to develop a network of blood vessels. Thus at the first breath the oxygen will be immediately transported to the brain. And by the way the unconditional reflexes are amazing. You cut off the umbilical cord and a child knows that it’s time to take a breath. No wonder that he knows. For over half of the gestation he was training intensely, inhaling and exhaling amniotic fluid. This is a hard job. Your child knows you from the side, where we least expect it. He knows the sounds of your heartbeat, rumbling stomach, hiccups, digestive noises, yawns, laughter, speech, crying. Everything is heard from the inside. After delivery he will immediately recognize your voice.

I ran out of regular pantyhose, I found this unused one this morning. I don’t really like it because it makes me feel I have scales over my legs. Funny how my hubby helped me put this on me because my bigger belly wouldn’t allow me to bend further down anymore (LOL). I better remember buying new plain black pantyhoses next time I shop. I just don’t like this one.

Had a long day today. I worked until noon, then the hubby picked me up straight to Battlecreek for our movie date. We went to the Lakeview mall, ate in a Japanese fastfood, went to Sears where I bought a black tight, then to Barnes and Noble where we browsed some publications, watched the Avengers and then went to Walmart—in Battlecreek, to look for the hubby’s shirts and scrubs; unfortunately, he only bought 4 shirts, but we can’t find any blue scrub his size. Because of that, we have decided to head back home to Sturgis. On our way, the hubby suddenly craved for Calamare. Since it was already dinner time, we have decided to drop by McGonigle’s. While we ate there, we agreed to drop by Walmart—in Sturgis, to check if scrubs his size is available there. No luck, so we have decided to buy some small stuff we need, so our trip there won’t be wasted. My feet hurt big time and they’re swollen already. That serves as a hint… it’s time to go home. T’was already 10pm BTW =)
